After the spectacular success of the M365, it was time for Xiaomi to launch a more advanced new model. Named Xiaomi M365 Pro, the newcomer was officially unveiled in February 2019.
It positions itself as a mid-range urban electric scooter and therefore targets the same users as the previous version.
In this review of the Xiaomi M365 Pro electric scooter, we will examine in detail all the features of Xiaomi's new scooter.

Presentation of the Xiaomi M365 Pro Electric Scooter
Let's start our test of the Xiaomi M365 Pro electric scooter (MJ1048) with a brief introduction. As its name suggests, the new scooter is just an upgraded version of the Xiaomi M365.
Developed jointly by Xiaomi and Ninebot, it is delivered assembled and folded in a cardboard box measuring 111 cm long, 15 cm wide, and 51 cm high.
To start using it, simply unfold it and raise the handlebar. Besides the electric scooter, the packaging box also includes the following items:
- An electric charger.
- A T-shaped hex key.
- 5 fixing screws (Allen).
- An adapter to inflate the tires.
- A user manual.
- Two additional tires (only for the European version).
In the unfolded position, the Xiaomi M365 Pro measures 113 cm long, 43 cm wide, and 118 cm high. In the folded position, it measures 113 cm long, 43 cm wide, and 49 cm high.
Despite a weight of 14.2 kg (about 2 kg more than the base version), it is compact and can be easily carried.
Design and structure of the Xiaomi Pro Electric Scooter
At first glance, the Xiaomi M365 Pro retains the same exterior design as the previous model. An elegant and futuristic design that won two prestigious awards in 2017: the "Red Dot Award" (Best of the Best) and the "iF Design Award."
Visually, the newcomer is recognizable by its circular decorative band on the front wheel which distinguishes it from the M365 and gives it an original look.
That said, it almost retains the same structure as the previous model. A high-quality aerospace aluminum frame, a stem, a handlebar, a wide deck, and two large wheels.
More robust, the Xiaomi M365 Pro can support a weight of 120 kg (compared to 100 kg for the previous model).

Test and review of the Xiaomi M365 Pro electric scooter
We tested the Xiaomi M365 Pro over several days in urban use to evaluate its range, comfort, and maneuverability. This model, one of Xiaomi's most popular, promises more power and endurance than the previous version, while maintaining its minimalist design.

Handling and riding comfort
You immediately find Xiaomi’s DNA: a simple, intuitive, and pleasant electric scooter to handle. The deck, wide enough, allows comfortable positioning. The handlebar is well designed and the whole inspires confidence, even on slightly longer trips.
The 8.5-inch inflatable wheels offer real comfort on urban roads: cobblestones, irregularities, or manhole covers are better absorbed than on solid tires. This makes a real difference daily, even if it involves a slightly higher risk of puncture.

Behavior and driving in the city
In urban traffic, the M365 Pro is stable and sufficiently responsive to merge easily. The three driving modes are useful, especially to adapt driving and save battery when necessary.
The speed is controlled, the ride is smooth, and the electric scooter never surprises. Uphill, it manages well thanks to its more powerful motor, which is appreciated on hills or bridges.
The LCD screen is a real improvement: you can see speed, range, and essential info at a glance. The Xiaomi app adds extra comfort, especially for the cruise control or settings.
Braking, safety, and lighting
Braking is good and reassuring, with an effective system that provides confidence in emergency stops. Night lighting is adequate and allows for visibility. On completely dark roads, a slightly more powerful front light would have been appreciated, but for standard urban use, it is sufficient.
Actual range of the Xiaomi M365 Pro
Range is one of the strong points of this M365 Pro. During our tests, it lasted significantly longer than most models in the same range. Even if the advertised figures are not fully reached in real conditions, it easily allows for a week of short daily trips or long distances on a single charge.

Verdict: our opinion on the Xiaomi M365 Pro Electric Scooter
To conclude this Xiaomi M365 Pro Electric Scooter test, the newcomer features a very elegant design. The aluminum frame and the materials used for the deck are very reliable and inspire confidence. Apart from a few small details, the build quality is also very good.
As expected, the new Xiaomi electric scooter is equipped with a powerful motor and a high-performance battery. The folding system is easy to use and allows folding and unfolding the electric scooter in less than three seconds.
The new LCD screen is ergonomic and displays all the riding information. We would have preferred tubeless tires instead of tires with inner tubes. That said, it is understandable that the manufacturer wanted to reduce production costs to offer an electric scooter that is reliable, high-performing, and affordable.
Clearly, the Xiaomi M365 Pro is the ideal choice for urban use. It appeals not only with its sleek style and practical aspect but also with its excellent value for money, making it one of the best mid-range electric scooters.
