To install the brake kit on your Etwow scooter

Have the following tools ready:

  • Drill with 8mm, 5mm, and 5.5mm bits
  • Allen keys size 4 and 5
  • Phillips screwdriver, 13mm wrench, and hook

Follow these steps:

- Remove the rear wheel of your electric scooter

- Enlarge the axle passage with an 8mm metal drill bit, create the hole for the drum screw with a 5mm bit

- Remove the front and rear reflectors then drill at 5.5 mm

- Prepare the wheel by inserting the axle, then placing the drum and finally the washers

- Spread the fork a few millimeters to allow the wheel to be installed

- Place the wheel on the fork and tighten the nuts as well as the drum screw

- Remove the handle: push the pin upwards with the screwdriver and then pull it out using pliers

- Install the brake trigger, tighten it

- Put the handle and pin back in place. To insert it through the spring, use a hook-type tool, pull and push the pin all the way down to its position

- Insert the brake cable without the spring to allow passage. First into the trigger, tighten the gray knob, then pass the cable through the upper clamp by fully unscrewing the clamping system. Put it back in place, then pass the cable through the ring, as well as the front and rear reflectors. Place the spring and tighten the nut.
