Threadlocker is an anaerobic adhesive that secures and increases the holding strength of threaded assemblies. Indeed, over time and use, vibrations absorbed by the vehicle can cause some parts to loosen.

Threadlocker helps limit play in the threading and thus securely locks the screw or bolt. Threadlocker can be permanent or removable depending on the type but can generally be removed by heating.

Usage advice for Loctite 243 threadlocker

Using threadlocker is really very simple. Threadlocker should only be used on metal surfaces. Do not apply threadlocker on plastic surfaces.

1. Apply a few drops of threadlocker on the screw or bolt thread before screwing them in normally.
2. Once the threadlocker is applied and the screw is in place, you must respect a drying time.
3. To remove a screw with blue threadlocker, simply unscrew it normally. There will be slight resistance but nothing serious.
