How to know if an electric scooter battery is dead?

• When the battery life of the E-Twow electric scooter only lasts a few minutes. This means it is no longer efficient enough to properly power your electric scooter.

• When the scooter no longer turns on. This could mean that the battery or the controller is no longer working.

• When the scooter stops for no reason and only starts when it is charged directly from a power outlet. This failure indicates that the batteries of E-Twow models have reached the end of their lifespan.

Causes of battery malfunction:

The batteries of E-Twow models naturally wear out after a certain number of charge and discharge cycles. But other factors can influence their wear and affect charging:

• Shocks, which can damage internal components.

• Exposed or cut wires.

• Oxidation.

• Water infiltration: check with a PH METER, a color tablet that changes from white to red if water is present inside the controller.

• Overcurrent or short circuit.

• BMS failure.

• Battery cells desoldered.

Only the BMS and battery cells are covered by the warranty, provided no modifications have been made to the original product.
